I purchased these in May of 2018 and have used them at several matches. I do like them better than the factory grips and another pair of grips I had tried. The slim grips fit my medium to large hand very well. Eagle grips sold me a nice matching pair that looks authentic for my Cowboy Action matches were I shoot in the category of "duelist" and "gunfighter".
These grips are very well made. They enhance the feel of your pistol with a much better grip than original while also giving it an elegant classy look. I would definately recommend them to anyone looking.
Purchased these for a 29-10 classic series. Huge improvement over the thin stocks S&W is putting on the new N frames. Much more comfortable to shoot with full house loads. Only reason I put 4 stars is I did not realize they would come unfinished. Perhaps I didn't read the description thoroughly. Don't know. Any way I rubbed in a few coats of true oil and buffed them with fine steel wool and they are good to go.
I originally ordered the Rosewood grips but was told they were on back order so I changed to their Walnut. After some discussion with Eagle I agreed to go to Walnut ( more original ) and ordered a pair which were supposed to be 3rd gen style for my 1981 Python. Somehow I received a beautiful set of 2nd gen grips ( not period correct but still OK with me ). The fit and finish are excellent - very close to the originals but with much better grade of Walnut. The only suggestion I would make would be for Eagle to also add/include an alignment hole with pin to keep the grips from shifting when actually shooting - they tend to not align 100% when tightened too much and if you use less tension they eventually start to 'shift' when shooting. Other than that they are great looking/feeling grips. I tried a few other aftermarket grips and they were cheap looking replicas - not so with Eagle. Very high quality grips.
I love my Smith and Wesson revolvers but I hate the round butts on todays production Smith’s. My hand just needs that bigger grip for the 357 or 44 recoil. I am an a weekly shooter and if a weapon is not fun to shoot I wont own it. I bought the N frame 627 Performance Center 8 shot 357 Christmas of 2017 and it had the same anemic round butt that all new Smith’s have so I turned to Eagle grips for a solution. I bought the Heritage grips that essentially turn the round butt into a square butt revolver and whalla,,,, perfection! I have shot and carried this combo for over a year now and I can tell you both are still perfect.
I have purchased 3 sets of these grips. In my opinion, the dark rosewood most closely matches the older grips. Fit is as good as and appearance is better than the S&W originals available today. I've owned S&W's for over 50 years and these grips are about as good as it get for a reasonable price.
These grips are sick!! I was a little worried about spending the money on them but it was beyond worth it. The grips have natural divets in them that make it easy to hold on to when firing. They add a character and style to my micro 9 that makes the gun feel like one of a kind. Completely happy with the product.
These classic grips are just what I was looking for to give the look and handling of a classic. Outstanding fit and finish. After you bed these with a normal bedding material and a 7/16 dowl they are solid as a rock.
I purchased my Colt Woodsman over 12 years ago and the grips were in horrible condition. I looked for grips for a couple of years but didn't find any suitable. The Eagle Grips fit like a glove and are great looking.
These are the best grips I've found. I have a set on my 44 revolver, and on a Colt 1911. Been the best investment I've made for them. Only thing I would do different if possible, is make the grips on the revolver bigger.
Everything fit well except the screw hole in the panels did not match the hole in the frame. It was about 1/3rd of a hole mis-matched. I couldn't move the hole in the panels, so I had to enlarge the hole in the frame off to one side. All the screw does is hold the panels to the frame, not locate them on the frame, so it worked out fine. I can't say whether the hole was mis-located in the grips, or if some manufacturing change was made by Colt that caused it.
I have 4 sets of the Eagle grips for Third generation Colt Woodmans. They are high quality and handsome. As a lefty, I ordered the non-thumbrest format and they are quite comfortable to shoot with, and quite handsome. Strongly recommend these grips from Eagle.
Great looking grips, fit well and give you a good grip. .44 Maggie is not easy to handle, and the stock grips, while attractive, have checkering and a narrow back. The Eagle grips are wider, and I bought smoothies, which I find more comfortable. They were so nice I bought a set for my like-new Mod. 15.
I bought these grips to replace the factory wood slabs on a S&W Model 60 Pro Series. Despite being shooter than the factory grips, they are the most comfortable J frame grips I have ever shot. I put almost 300 rounds through the pipe at the range today, and my hands weren't fatigued, chafed or otherwise abused. These are superb grips that I would happily recommend to anyone with a J frame Smith.
Grips fit like a glove. Excellent job on checkering. Would like to see grips made on the size of the old Pachmayr presentation style. The oversize grips helped with recoil greatly. There is still a following for these that would fill a big niche for these guns. Thanks!
I was a little concerned about going from a 3-finger grip to 2, especially when firing .357. This grip proved to be fine even shooting .357. it is much better for concealment than the 3-finger rubber grip that I was using.
Beautiful pair of grips well worth the price. They fit and feel better then the original grips on my S & W Model 29-2! Will buy again for my other one. Nice to see something still made in USA instead of cheap aftermarket from China.
I ordered 2 pairs of grips. They are perfect! Fit my Rugers pefectly and I absolutely love them! The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is the wait time. It took nearly 13 weeks to get them. The staff was really nice and responsive when I called and emailed. But I am thrilled with the grips!
Love them every bit as much as my Kim Ahrends concealed carry boot grips. The Ebony wood is gorgeous on a SS gun. I did have to drill out the holes for the grip-pegs a little bit, but customer service was quick to answer my questions and even offered to have me send them back at their expense to correct the issue of I didn’t feel comfortable performing the recommended work myself. Will 100% be ordering from Eagle Grips again in the future! Thank you all!
Ordered a set of these for Wild Bunch competition. They work great. Appears to be hand checkering with nice points. Grippy and best of all, THIN. You want to be able to drop the mag with one hand without bulky grips getting in the way during competition. These work fine.
I recently acquired a near mint 1978 Python. The original grips had been lost. I contacted Eagle Grips, ordered a set in Rosewood. I was assured they'd look as good as the originals .They lied . They look far better than the originals. They are flawless perfection. I'm not a mushy kind of guy , but when I saw them I nearly cried . You see , the Python I acquired , belonged to my deceased brother.
I purchased the rosewood with reclaimed medallions. Side by side, these are very close to the originals. Pricey at $200, but $300 less than originals. These are on a "lookin' at" revolver, so I don't know how they are to shoot. When I recover from the sticker shock, I'll likely order another set in walnut.
Grips took 2 months. They took some fitting ( top flat both sides) , Took about 45 minutes working slow and careful checking fit often. They look good on my old sheriffs model stainless vaquero and I like the fit much better than the original/
I have been looking a long time for smaller grips like these and took the chance of the grips fitting my older model Charter Arms Undercover .38. (on one side of the barrel; Undercover .38 SPL. on the other Charter Arms Corp. Bridgeport, Conn.) I'm glad I did, I am well pleased with the fit and finish.
I am writing this before I actually receive my New Eagle Grips. I have ordered Grips from Eagle two times before, and I just know what an outstanding product I'll be getting. The quality of the Wood and Craftsmanship of the finished product are truly beyond compare. Whenever I upgrade any of my Handguns with new Grips, Eagle is the only place I go!!! Bud Olesen
Although they take a very long time to arrive in the mail, the wait is worth it. These grips look great on the LCR and despite what some panzys say about the .357 Magnum recoil, these grips handle just as good as the stock Hogue grip. Eagle Grips makes some nice looking stuff and any self respecting revolver owner needs wood grips.
I am very fortunate to have two sets of Sambar Stag grips from Eagle on two Ruger Vaqueros. I bought the first set about 25 years ago then the second about 7 years ago. Without a doubt these are the BEST and MOST BEAUTIFUL grips I have ever owned! They fit perfectly (no special fitting required), feel solid in my hand, and have acquired a beautiful "mellow" tone after years of use - with no wear or tear. I love Love LOVE my Sambar grips!
Just got my grips in for my Model 10. They're beautiful. They fit perfectly. They're functional (I have no problem using my speed loaders.) As I said elsewhere, on a scale from 1-10, I'm like a kid a Christmas.
I love the GP-100. I carry a .357 with 4.2" barrel in a Simply Rugged holster. With these checkered Rosewood grips I can conceal the this revolver under a t-shirt. The grips simply do not print and are almost invisible underneath a shirt. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to conceal carry their GP-100
I wasn't sure if any other grip would do justice to my mint Reg. Magnum if I decided to change the original Coke Bottle Magna grip. The Heritage Grip from Eagle guys solved all that for me in a jiffy. Fits like a glove and maintains the period look as well. Wonderful workmanship. Keep it up Eagle.
I was very pleased with prior sale communication since I had a newer model Les Baer and wanted to make sure of specs before ordering. When I received and installed the grips the fit was perfect and they look really cool .
I received these grips from my husband for Chiristmas. They are beautiful to look at and to hold. They totally changed the look and feel of my gun. I love them and so does my husband! Very comfortable in your hand and really makes the gun look classy! My husband said the company is wonderful to work with as well. I Very highly recommend these. You will not be disappointed.
Restoring a S&W Model with a new deep blue finish and added these grips for a classic 1950-1960s revolver. Always admired the S&W revolvers owned written about by Skeeter Skelton. These feel great and a real boon for my target shooting. Highly recommend.
Nicely done set of grips. The slimmer profile is much better than the factory grips. Was just able to get them on the frame, thanks to the vagaries of the Blackhawk frame, this set might could have used a very slight bit of fit work but I was able to get them on alright after some fidgeting, and gentle screwdriver work to get them to slip in properly at the prawl near the top of the frame.
If you are looking for 1911 grip screws made 100% to the original spec, as designed by JMB and produced by Colt’s (and other USGI contract mfgs), these are the ones you seek. These have the original spec “wide slot” versus the unauthentic, narrow slot found on the grip screws by most other makers today. The quality is very high on these grip screws — they have superior hardness in the metal, and their slots are more resistant to stripping and deforming than even the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) ones on my vintage Colt 1911 pistols. Buy the 1911 grip screws by Eagle Grips™️ and you will be highly satisfied by their authentic dimensions and high-quality build and material quality.
I am really pleased with the look that I achieved with these grips. I bought them for my Kimber Custom II two tone 45 ACP. My friends think I really pimped out my gun, but it looks great. Fit was perfect. Grips have a depth to their look that is unmatched with other products.
Ridley Scott built a winner prop with Rick Deckerd's Steyr-Mannlicher/Charter Arms blaster and that cool amber grip. Purple is my fav color, and adding these grips to my own protection system makes my Kimber much more comfortable, and stunning to see. You will not regret your investment!
I have a Ruger GP100. I love this gun, and with that being said, the Hogue Grips that come on the gun are just plain ugly. These Classically styled Eagle Grips are exactly what I've been looking for. The Quality of Eagle Grips is most impressive to say the least. I have Eagle Grips on one of my Colt Pythons, and the Beauty and Quality of those Grips were my inspiration to purchase these Grips for my Ruger GP100. Thanks Eagle Grips for giving the consumer a great American made product. Sincerely, Bud Olesen
I ordered the Secret Service style grips for my S&W Highway Patrolman. They fit perfectly when received and look beautiful. I love the grip I now have on this pistol. Thank you for such good work and service.
I have purchased these grips for 4 Ruger’s. Like them so much going to order for two more Ruger’s. They are not only good looking they feel great as well. Took very little fitting per gun. I know you will not regret ordering these grips.
I purchased several other sets of ivory and Pearl grips but NONE were even in the league with Eagle Grips. If you EVER hear someone say they have a Beautiful set of Pearl Grips, it's almost 100% chance they are from Eagle. I don't own stock or work for the company. I just have the most incredible set of Pearl grips you can get! Thank you Eagle!!
I recently bought a new 629 with factory wood grips but they are too narrow at the top and they hurt when shooting hot loads. The Eagle Grips fit the frame perfectly and are wide enough to be comfortable while also taming hard recoil. They're a big improvement over the stock S&W grips. There is a narrow gap between the grip front and back of the trigger guard that is not present on my S&W 686 Eagle Grips but it has not caused any problems or discomfort. I love these grips!
grips look and fit well, just a minor flaw it that the grips are slightly proud above the backstrap. a big improvement over the plastic factory however. the wood was brownish rather than redish, but still has nice grain. they are thin, and thus do not have a substantial feel to them, but that is mostly because the pistol is small and any wood grip would have similar dimensions.
I absolutely love the look and feel of the American Elk Grips. I have the Tiffany Blue Sig Sauer P238 with stock pearl grips. The pearl grips were too dressy for me, I wanted to add the Elk Grips for a more unique look of the gun. I receive numerous compliments often and the look and uniqueness is exactly what I was after. They are easy to install, fit perfect and most importantly, very comfortable when shooting.
Awhile back I ordered these grips for my SW 686P 3". Great finish and fit was nice. I used a White Hat IWB and it disappears. Eagle Grips should partner with Ruger, SW and Kimber to make these an OEM option.
This is my second set of Kirinite grips, first set was for my Micro 9, this was for my new Kimber 45. They fit and look awesome. I wanted to trick out my gun to make it look different from the stock gun. I recently had a range day with friends at a family outdoor range. Everyone else had stipled grips, but I shot as well as any of my friends, so the smooth grip didn't adversely affect my shooting to any measure able degree.
After waiting many years to finally purchase my "dream gun", I was left a bit unsatisfied because it came with the original factory rubber grips. Since my dream was to have a Python with traditional wooden grips, I began my quest to replace the original rubber grips with much research and high expectations. My dream was finally fulfilled by Eagle Grips. I purchased their 3rd generation Colt Python grips with reclaimed medallions. The delivery was shorter than claimed on the web site and the quality was "second to none". I would recommend these grips and this company for those who have high expectations regarding service and product quality. Thank you Eagle Grips!
Used to run the Kim Ahrends boot grips. These are just as well fabricated and durable and weld to the hand the same. Love the way they look on my 327 NightGuard and will definitely be looking at these grips for other concealed carries in the future!
I bought a pair of checkered Rosewood Secret Service grips for my Gemini Customs Ruger SP101 . They were the perfect finishing touch to the ultimate Snubby. They. It only look incredible but make carrying and shooting this exquisite revolver a breeze.
I bought two pairs of stag grips for my Colt SAA many years ago from Eagle Grips for $70.00 each! I was charged $35 to custom fit them. The fitting was perfect, and I would definitely consider buying from them again.
These grips fit my frame perfectly. The look like real Ivory even down to the grain. I have several of these grips for my N frames and Ruger vaquero and the all fit the frames with no over lap or under cutting.
Iwas impressed with the quality and fit. Somehow I couldn't find my original grips for my 30 year old model 19. Although these grips were discontinued before the model 19 was developed, I like the way they looked. Because of the hand filling configuration they make the recoil of the .357 magnum recoil as manageable as the rubber grips I replaced.
I was a bit disappointed at first because one of the grips did not fit perfectly, but it was an easy fix when i took it to a gunsmith. These are the best looking wood grips I've seen for Beretta 92; others that have the medallion dont have the thumbrest carved out of the wood like this one.
Outstanding product and the fit to firearm was great...couldn't ask for a nicer set of grips. The only problem I had was the stated delivery was not as indicated and email communications with the seller was in a word, "lacking". If you want a first class product and don't mind the absence of email or phone communications after you place the order, then you are in the right place. From my experience, this indicates a company that has a overly full backlog of orders and not enough customer service time to handle the load. Good luck.
The fit and finish of these grips is excellent. They feel like a natural part of the gun. I love that they give you more gripping surface and do not extend past the bottom of the grip frame. The finger grooves are all done. These are great grips. I will certainly buy another set of grips from Eagle Grips again. Thanks!
This product is very nice. Kirinite is very easy to work with. Cuts nice with both handheld and CNC tooling. imperfections caused during handling or modification is rare but easily polished out with detail work. Very durable and has a beautiful look when done.
I love these grips on my S&W Mod. 65, 3" barrel. They fit so very well and very easy to handle, and they look great. I have a set of Secret Service Checkered grips for my J-frame, and am very happy with them too. Also, I do Cowboy Action Shooting and have Rosewood "Evil Roy" grips for both pairs of my Ruger New Vaqueros. Can't beat them! Wonderful products and service.
The Deep Blue Pearl grips look sleek on my Ruger SR1911, and they offer a solid grip during firing. The grips fit perfectly, lining up very nicely with the factory holes. I reused the Ruger hex screws. Thumbs up!
I bought two sets of Eagle S&W Square butt grips for my Model 27 and Model 29 four inch Blue Classics. One in Imitation Ivory and One in Elk Stag. The Elk is on the 44 Magnum and it is the Classic Outdoors Man Sidearm.
These grips are very comfortable - they allow the gun to come to point more naturally. The finish on the wood is excellent. Where the grip meets the grip frame was not exactly precise, but very close. Still an excellent grip.
Looked around for something to replace the stock burled maple grips that came with my Sig STX. After putting these on I couldn't be happier. Looks great, and has a pretty good tacky grip on the hand. I used the ambi safety with mag well and it fits 99% perfect. I needed to file off just a little bit where the slide release resets, but other than that, zero gripes. Would recommend.
Customer service was a little shaky after a while I had to email and asked when it would be shipped and then it was shipped the next day but the product fits great, looks great, and was easy to put on. I would definitely recommend
Gorgeous, beautiful, just like the picture. Fits perfectly, looks fabulous, done perfectly. I would like to thank the people of Eaglegrip for their help, understanding and human approach to the client and the problem. Thanks to them, my revolver looks great. Thanks a lot.
Bought because the late Stephen A. Camp used them on one of his pistols. Excellent hardware used in these grips. I like the fact the grip went behind the trigger guard. Would not hesitate to buy again.
i just opened the box with my pair of six shooters in it received one day earlier than promised and the grips are beautiful and sure make the guns pop.these gunfighter white pearl are more than i expected and what i had hoped they would be.thanks to raj and all who made these grips fit and finish are art can't put guns down have to type one handed.you have big kid happy happy feels like chrisrmas thank you thank you when i get my act together i will be back for a set of red pearl grips
These are the best grips that I have tried on my S&W 642 Pro. The grips feel good in the hand and provide excellent grip and control, even with +P loads. I am going to order another pair for my round-butt K Frame S&W. Thanks for an excellent product.
First thing about me - any revolver I have, gets wood grips, not rubber. The Secret Service grip from Eagle has been my preferred grip for the S&W snubbie for years. This is my every day carry, in a pocket holster. When I got a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special, it became another option for pocket carry, once I installed a spur-less hammer. However, the grips available were not to my liking, after trying several. Then one day I discovered that Eagle Grips was making the Secret Service Grip for the Bulldog, and immediately put in my order. I know these grips are pricey, but they are both functional and elegant, in my view. Actually, pricey is having 5 sets of grips, in a box, that I don't use because they didn't work for me.
