i just opened the box with my pair of six shooters in it received one day earlier than promised and the grips are beautiful and sure make the guns pop.these gunfighter white pearl are more than i expected and what i had hoped they would be.thanks to raj and all who made these grips fit and finish are art can't put guns down have to type one handed.you have big kid happy happy feels like chrisrmas thank you thank you when i get my act together i will be back for a set of red pearl grips
These are the best grips that I have tried on my S&W 642 Pro. The grips feel good in the hand and provide excellent grip and control, even with +P loads. I am going to order another pair for my round-butt K Frame S&W. Thanks for an excellent product.
First thing about me - any revolver I have, gets wood grips, not rubber. The Secret Service grip from Eagle has been my preferred grip for the S&W snubbie for years. This is my every day carry, in a pocket holster. When I got a Charter Arms Bulldog in .44 Special, it became another option for pocket carry, once I installed a spur-less hammer. However, the grips available were not to my liking, after trying several. Then one day I discovered that Eagle Grips was making the Secret Service Grip for the Bulldog, and immediately put in my order. I know these grips are pricey, but they are both functional and elegant, in my view. Actually, pricey is having 5 sets of grips, in a box, that I don't use because they didn't work for me.
Makes my revolver fit in my hand like a glove. The factory grips give no purchase, these grips will change all of that. Accuracy has improved due to a better grip. The wood is beautiful and checkering crisp. It was well worth the wait and price to get these grips.
I finally had the chance to install the set of checkered rosewood grips I recently purchased on my .380 PPK. Wow, what a difference between these and the factory plastic grips! These grips are beautifully made. The rosewood has great figure and really dresses up the already rakish looks of the PPK. The sharply checkered panels and thumb rest of these grips provide a much more secure purchase for my large hands on such a small pistol. While recoil with Hornady 90 gr. XTP loads in a PPK is rather snappy, the Eagle grips really help you maintain a correct, yet firm grip on the gun. Range time was much more productive and I'm now able to get 5 rounds into a 4" group at 10 yards easily. For my primary defensive handgun, that will get the job done! Well done Eagle and thank you for making and outstanding product!
I've been using Eagle Grips on my hand guns throughout my entire law enforcement career dating back to the eighties and the addition of these Kirinite grips on my Ruger Birds Head revolver just reinforce the fact the Eagle Grips continues to make a great product with perfect fit and finish on every gun I chose to use them on. Keep uptake good work!!!
I found the grips to of great wood being checkered rosewood. They fit the grip well but not to the point where forward shifting upwards was totally eliminated. Fair to say with Ruger grips it does seem no two are the same, so grips pay the price.
These ivory Kirinite grips may be expensive, but they are by far the most realistic simulation of Ivory that I have ever seen; and the fit and finish are superb. (PS: I have seen 100% legitimate young ivory grips that, unless you look very close, look like white plastic, so I am quite pleased that these Kirinite grips DO look more Ivory than some of the young Ivory out there. And besides, real Ivory is now pretty much unobtainium anyway.) Another plus is that these grips fill my hand MUCH better than the stock wood Ruger Redhawk grips, which were too small for me.
Thank you so much for bringing my gun to life. Pictures just don't do this justice. It kinda looks a little subdued in the picture but the nice gentleman I talked to on the phone assured me it would look better in person and he was right.
I have a 460 Roland conversion kit for my 1911, which produces sharp recoil that caused my older poly grips to shatter. I put five magazines worth of 460 Roland through my gun, and these Kirinite grips held up well.
The profile is very close to Smith & Wesson's old square butt target grips. Mine even came with diamonds in the middle of the knurling. Fit is as good as can be expected without sending in your piece for custom fitting. They look amazing, and feel better in the hand on my 4" Redhawk .44 Magnum than any other grips it's worn.
They looked exactly as advertised. I used mine on my two tone 1911 so the grips tied it together perfectly. Only issue was there was very slight wiggle room after installation. But I made four washers with gardening wire, at practically no time nor cost, and they are now as snug as they are interesting. Worth the money overall.
Was slightly skeptical about how these grips would perform, but I knew I liked the way they look! After about a hundred rounds through my Vaquero the grips have shown to be forgiving to recoil and not slip under sweaty palms...
I have never found any aftermarket combat grip that was a comfortable, and appealing to the eye as the Eagle grip products. At the time I ordered the Rosewood was on back order, but they are worth the wait. 5 stars *****
The Gunfighter II was just what I needed for my 3 Ruger Vaqueros. I have large hands and the stock grips did not cut it. They were lost in my hands. The Gunfighter II looks great and fills my hand increasing accuracy. Fits the revolver well.
First off I love these grips. They are perfectly matched to the Birdshead grip of my New Vaquero. I was amazed how well they fit and how solid they felt. Two thumbs high! I recommend these grips to anyone who owns the Vaquero (New or Old). Don’t miss out on these grips.
These are great grips with outstanding fit and finish. On my old .22 Peacemaker, they look and feel much better than the original plastic eagle grips. They've turned a nice gun that passed down from my grandfather into a an even nicer gun that I'll love to pass on down to my grandkids!
I have 2 sets for S&W K/L and N frames. They fit my hands exceptionally well. They are thick at the top which is exactly what I need. The overall fit and finish is very good and you can send them back for adjustments if necessary. Overall a very good product.
Excellent craftsmanship - the grips fit perfectly. I prefer smooth (as opposed to textured) for ease of moving the gun into and out of a close holster. They are shipped natural; tongue oil makes a great protective finish. Thanks!
These grips fit perfectly. They are well finished and feel good in your hand. They are thinner than the original grips and fit my hand much better. Would buy again and this grip is the third set I bought from Eagle and the quality, fit and finish was correct in every case.
The quality is worth waiting for. These reflex point right on target. The checkered grip gives it more beauty and will bite in for a hold even wet. Going to order some more for gifts. Thanks Eagle for a job well done.
I bought this product to accent a revolver that belonged to my late father. I intend to put it in a display case. I feel your product looks and feels great and will look good on my father's revolver in this display.
I swapped these for the functional, but ugly, black neoprene. The look is fantastic and they fit well also. I don't shoot the Anaconda often, and the rounds are not full power, so I don't miss the neoprene grips at all.I have a similar set on a Python. Highly recommend.
I ordered Eagle Woodsman 3G grips for my Colt Woodsman Match Target pre-owned .22. When I contacted Eagle Grips, the customer service folks were most kind and sincere. The grips I received were outstanding. The fit is perfect and feel exactly like the original Colt grips. If you need new grips for your firearm, get some from Eagle.
These grips are everything that is advertised plus 1000! I wish i would of have these put on a sp 101 i had. Big time concealment made a huge difference. I carry appendix and it rides right on waistline instead of higher like it was. Really gives the gun a nice clean finish
I bought elk Grips to go on a customized Colt Officer a gun I carry every day for work. These grips are beautiful and I get a lot of comments about them. My only issue is I have smaller hands and did not realize how thick these grips are. beside that I've carried this gun with the grips for over 6 months and have no complaints.
I purchased these grips and I must say right out of the box I loved them.I mean the craftsmanship, quility, and the texture of the grips felt so right.Eagle grips are well made and they fit my Ruger Lcr 38 special perfect. The rosewood with the cheered center is awesome and they feel good when I am gripping them. I love the product ,and I stand by their product 100% I would purchase again and I recommend anyone who is looking for a new style grip, go eagle grip.
I found that my new grips are well made, beautiful and really improve my grip on the gun. The only thing that is not great, is the fact that a speed loader doesn't clear it. That said, I really enjoy the new look and would buy them again.
These grips are very comfortable and way great quality. Like the open back strap design as it helps reach trigger better. Had to file some in an area covered by the stock grips that charter didn't deem necessary to finish well. Now I have a unique Bulldog that's comfortable too.
Love them, minimal printing and great feel. With a .357 158grn shot through a model 19 with 2.5" Bar still not too much felt recoil and control is ok on these smaller grips. Recoil about the same as a full size grip.
I bought these grips to improve the appearance of my full-size Rock Island Armory M1911-A1. The factory grips were OK but a bit too thick and plain looking. These grips are great and the quality is the same as much more expensive grips by other manufacturers. If you are looking to dress up your gun or upgrade your factory grips, Eagle Grips are the way to go.
The grips are beautiful. The fit and finish are excellent. My only complaint is that they are so smooth that they are slippery and don't provide a very secure grip on the gun. I will probably order the checkered style next time.
Excellent service!!First, they sent me the wrong type of grips- "birdshead model grips" my std. Ruger New Model Bearcat .22LR..I sent these back to them, something like 3-5 months I did not hear anything on their sides!-Then I got notice of our customs that I can pick up my shipment. This came to me completely free of charge :)I opened the package I was really surprised by their overall quality, fit and finish are phenomenal..I put it afterwards their rosewood grips order, let's see how they fit :) Expectations are high! Thanks to outstanding service!!
I recently purchased a fully engraved Ruger Birdshead grip 357. Eagle custom made a beautiful set of grips for this piece. The fit was perfect, the look and feel were unbelievable. They so enhanced the gun that I ordered set for my other Rugers as well. I would highly recommend this grips to anyone.
After a longer waiting time than promised I received grips for a K frame, not a N frame as I ordered. I installed them on a k frame and the fit was very good but the checkering lines were not cut evenly.
I needed something a bit "stickier" than the factory grips to maintain a tight right hand grip (for second shots) while using the left hand to pull back the hammer and get back on target. Maybe that's not how you're supposed to do it, but I'm self taught and this grip is perfect for it.
I received American elk grips for Christmas 2016. They were for a Springfield Armory Range Officer 1911 .45 ACP government. All I can say is "WOW!" They fit perfect. And they look great! I love the Texas Ranger look and appeal of these grips. I have purchased grips from Eagle Grips in the past and have always been impressed with their quality and workmanship. Pete of Perry Hall, Md.
These grips are great, not only aesthetically nicer than Ruger's stock grips, but the extra thickness and checkering provides a solid connection between you and the piece. Along with the Wolfe spring kit, a must upgrade to this SA for me.
These grips are simply amazing they total change the appearance of my pair of 44 magnum. The quality of the checking plus the additional checking is very high quality. Keep up the outstanding work. I know quality when I see it an Eagle Grips is a quality operation, with a user friendly website set's the tone for a good experience from beginning to end. Again thank you
I found that these wooden grips had a slight gap where they came together, of only a few thousandths of an inch which I eliminated by very patient sanding of inside surfaces till they met flush. These wood grips are beautiful.
"You get what you pay for", and Eagle Grips has proven this to me. I put these on a S&W model 60 .357 mag, 3" barrel and my revolver "came to life". Perfect fit, top shelf craftsmanship ! Thank you Eagle Grips, I am very proud of them.
I just unboxed my grips today and they look great! They came in a nice little drawstring bag with instructions on how install them. They have a good weight, and a nice thickness to them. The gold screw ties the grips together. They fit my 1917 DA45 Smith and Wesson well and really make the gun look good. They also have a nifty Eagle Grips stamp on the inside of the grips. I would definitely recommend these grips..
These grips is a beautiful upgrade to my LCRx. The only thing which is my mistake is that these grips are for the hamerless LCR not the LCRx. They do fit the LCRx that has the exposed hammer however, I had to place a piece of cloth to space the grips from the trigger gaurd since the hammer would not go all the way back to cock back for single action. Like I said my mistake, and since I was able to find a solution myself there was no need to contact customer service. The next time I'm in the market for grips on any of my other firearms I will be purchasing them from Eagle Grips.
I am so happy that I did business with Eagle Grips. After receiving my AMERICAN ELK revolver grips in a really cool crush velvet bag with draw strings on it, I slid my new grips out of the bag and put them on my Model 60 S&W .357, and my revolver became a "beautiful model" and I took MANY pictures! Thank you Eagle Grips, "AMAZING CRAFTSMANSHIP", well worth the money , I got what I paid for and I'm very proud of them.
This is a beautiful hand made grip, it fits the LCR well. Lowers the profile of the weapon while keeping control. I'd argue better control with this grip. If you plan the carry this against the body, you may want to skip the cross-hatching or go with the plastic version, option B is to anticipate wearing a base layer. This grip in any format gravely reduces/eliminates pulling on skin and body hair experienced with the hogue grip. This grip is not fit for sport shooting, however it is ok for target practice with +p ammo. I'd not recommend this on the .357, the .38 packs a wallop in your hand even with the best hand positioning. In a tactical situation a .357 with this could be detrimental, self injury during a gun fight is a no no. This grip is suitable for maintaining control over the weapon when deploying controlled pairs. My overall impression; if you carry the LCR, this is a must have.
I own three 1911's. I purchased these black peal grips for my Dan Wesson 1911. To be sure of fit, I swapped the grips from my Colt officers 1911 with my Dan Wesson officers 1911. They were interchangeable. When I received them, the left grip did not fit until I ground a little material away from the top with a Dremel tool to accommodate the thumb safety. Overall, I'm happy with them and would consider purchasing another pair. Very comfortable to hold.
Fit was very nice, pleased with the grips, they were what I thought they would be, aesthetically Beautiful and well-made . PS I would love to see this type of grip made for a para ordinance compact warthog
I had ordered a set of grip for a 629 smith. It was at Christmas time, said there was a back up on orders. One month passed. Had to call and check on order. I got the owner on the phone at the first ring qnd he started that thay would be out first tHong in the am. It was just as he said. Great custermer service. Fit was great!
I am lucky enough to own many handguns and all of them have custom grips. I have never seen a set of grips fit as well as these did that were not custom fit on the pistol. These guys do great work. Alvin
After I purchased my Smith & Wesson model 686 I had a hard time finding round to square butt conversion grips, the when I came across eagle grips I knew I had found a winner! Besides being durable and a perfect fit to the gun and the hand they are also extremely beautiful. They gave my gun a tough but incredibly classy look. And since installing them on My Revolver I have put thousands of rounds through it and the grips are still going strong and looking as good as ever. I have spent a lot of time researching different grips and companies and as far as I'm concerned Eagle grips are the best I have ever found. I have always been satisfied with their craftsmanship quality and the value of what I'm getting for what I'm paying. I would definitely recommend these grips to anyone searching for a quality wooden grip.
I bought a used, first generation Vaquero. The gun was in great shape, but the grips were a bit beat up. These not only look better than the originals (even in new condition) but also fit my hand much better. Be aware that the checking is very aggressive and can bit a bit with heavy loads, but with cowboy action rounds all you notice is how easy the gun is to control. I heartily recommend them... in fact I'll be retrofitting a couple other guns with them in the near future.
This finger position grip balances out my Redhawk from a shooting and looks perspective. Great tight fit, allowing a more accurate shorting result. Very customer service responsive answering emails quickly. Expect the turn time to be closer to 4 weeks than 2 weeks. Well worth the wait.
My order turn around time was quicker than expected. The grips fit perfectly and added the look of a very expensive stainless steel revolver. This was an inexpensive addition to the gun to give it the great look of a classic.
Living in South Africa, only viewing online reviews and videos about the grips, I took a great gamble ordering these grips. I do not regret it for an instant! It looks and feels fantastic on my Ruger SR 1911. The Kirinite sticks to your hands even after 2 hours in the hot sun on the range.
The Lava Flow Kirinite grips for my Sig P238 really make the gun's appearance pop, as my gun is otherwise flat black. The grips are also comfortable and tough. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to upgrade their handgun.
This is on my S&W M 58: they fit your hands unlike the original target grips. I look forward in shooting full load 41 magnum rounds. They are a step from Old School grips of the past. True craftsmanship went into this design.
This pair of grips were put on my S&W M 27-8 Performance Center 3.5 inch barrel nickel plated. The grips fill your hand and they closely look like real ivory. They bring out the pop on the revolver and the silver medallions it's all worth the cost for any collector.
These grips look excellent on my Ruger Redhawk 45 Colt. Fit and finish is spot on and feels great in my hand. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to supplement the rubber stock Hogue grips.
Really nice, beautiful grips.Almost 5 stars, but there is a slight overlap between the sides that is noticeable. Not so much when firing, and certainly doesn't interfere, but they are so close to perfect.
I was a little skeptical about how well I'd actually be able to grip these grips when my hands started sweating, but I've put about 400 rounds through the gun with them on and they're great. As your hands warm up the kirinite almost seems to feel adhesive to your hands, so I'd have to recommend them. They also help to make your gun stand out from others so it's easily identifiable.
